Natural Gas Release, Venting Gas At The Honor Rancho Storage Facility

SoCalGas’ Honor Rancho Storage Facility has been offline for maintenance the last few days.  They will be bringing the facility back online this afternoon.

By coming back online, it will require periodic venting of natural gas to the atmosphere between 1:30 PM and 4 PM, October 23, 2013.

They have notified their Call Center and emergency operations agencies/personnel in the area just in case they received customer calls about smelling natural gas. 

As a reminder, natural gas in lighter than air and any smell is from residual odorant in the area.
