Cox, 24, who is charged with felony burglary and narcotics possession, was scheduled for a preliminary hearing at the San Fernando Courthouse, according to a spokeswoman with the District Attorney’s office.
The hearing was continued until Monday, Sept. 9.
Cox was arrested in June after someone witnessed him breaking into a car and stealing a purse in the Granary Square shopping center in Valencia. Deputies set up a containment in the area, and he was arrested without incident. He was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.
