President Steven Lindberg, who presides over all the LDS Santa Clarita congregations, stated:

“Our savior’s admonition to “love one another” has a practical, as well as a deeply theological meaning.  Mormon Helping Hands day of service is one of the practical ways in which we can put his words into action.

By setting aside this day each year—all across California —we have the opportunity to work together with people of all faiths to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors.  And, it reminds us that we are a community that cares.  We encourage everyone who is able and available to join us in this day of service”.

Councilman Bob Kellar and Councilman Dante Acosta will join hundreds of volunteers at 7:30am, Saturday morning April 26th at the LDS Church, 19513 Drycliff Street, Canyon Country, to offer their words of encouragement before we depart for our assignments.
