Latino Chamber Of Commerce Presents Cinco De Mayo Celebration In Old Town Newhall

Cinco de MayoThis weekend, communities throughout Southern California will celebrate Cinco de Mayo, the Mexican-American holiday honoring freedom and democracy.

The Santa Clarita Valley is no exception. Main Street in Old Town Newhall will host a Cinco de Mayo celebration on Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m., courtesy of the City of Santa Clarita and the Latino Chamber of Commerce.

The event will feature the Newhall Community Center Folklorico dancers and the internationally famous D’Wilfri DanceArt and Entertainment dancers.

The Old Town Newhall Library will offer bilingual storytime and a book signing of author Bill Miranda’s book, Profiles in Latino Courage.

The Cinco de Mayo celebration is free and open to the public, sponsored by State Farm Insurance and Southern California Edison. For more information, click here.
