UPDATE: I-5 Open With CHP Escorts Through Grapevine Due To Weather

The overnight storm dumped fresh snow in the Antelope Valley, as well as Acton and Agua Dulce, causing problems along the 14 freeway commuter corridor.

The California Highway Patrol has shut down the northbound offramp at Pearblossom Highway due to several vehicles, including an Antelope Valley Transit bus, being stuck in snow and ice. Traffic on the 14 is reported to be backed up from Agua Dulce Canyon Road through the Palmdale area .

Reports of up to two inches of snow fell in the Agua Dulce area overnight, causing a power outage that affected nearly 300 Southern California Edison customers.

Interstate 5 freeway is also closed at Parker Road in both directions through Grapvine due to ice and snow conditions. We will keep you updated on traffic conditions as they develop.

Updated 8:20AM: I-5 Northbound now open with CHP escorts through the Tejon Pass. Southbound 5 freeway open from Bakersfield to Santa Clarita without escort.
