Hart High School Student OK After Minor Collision Near School

A female Hart High School student who got out of her car too close to traffic and was struck by a vehicle received only minor injuries Monday.

“A high school student is in the hospital with some minor abrasions,” said Sgt. Rich Nagler. “She’ll be OK.”

The incident happened around 7:45 a.m. and there is no further investigation into the collision, which is believed to be an accident.

The collision happened near the intersection of 14th Street and Newhall Avenue, Nagler said.

The victim’s name was not released.
