But even this is almost $0.10 more expensive that the lowest gas prices in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Three local non-membership gas stations are currently selling regular-grade gas for $3.49 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.

These stations are Arco at Sand Canyon Road and Delone Street, Arco at Sierra Highway and Friendly Valley Parkway and Alliance on Sierra Highway near Ryan Lane.

The Chevron station at Bouquet Canyon Road and Urbandale Avenue is selling the most expensive local gas, at $3.75 per gallon.

The average price for L.A. County has decreased 27 consecutive days and 62 of the past 63, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 4.4 cents less than one week ago, 20.2 cents lower than one month ago and 23.8 cents below one year ago.

The dropping pump prices are the result of lower wholesale prices and the Nov. 1 switch to winter blend gasoline, which costs less to produce, according to Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California.

NBC Los Angeles contributed to this report.
