Firefighters Knock Down Brush Fire In Canyon Country

Los Angeles County firefighters made quick work of a brushfire – actually three small brush fires – that broke out along the 14 Freeway Thursday afternoon in Canyon Country.
The three spot fires were reported at about 1:10 p.m. between Soledad Canyon Road and the freeway, north of the Shadow Pines exit. Wind speeds were reported at 15 mph to 20 mph.

Soledad Canyon Road and the two right lanes of northbound Highway 14 were closed until shortly after 2 p.m., when the fire was fully knocked down.
