Santa Clarita City Mayor and Elks Lodge Roast Master Bob Kellar (seen right) will host a comedy roast of Santa Clarita’s former City Manager, Ken Pulskamp, at the Lodge’s 15th Annual Elks Roast on Saturday, March 23. The roast will be held at the Elks Lodge in Canyon Country.

Current City Manager Ken Striplin, who served as assistant city manager under Pulskamp, is one of this year’s roasters. Striplin said he was more than pleased to join Kellar on the stage to roast his former boss. “I have been waiting years for this moment,” Striplin laughed, adding “Boy, have I got the tales to tell!”
Steve Arklin, another roaster and owner of A Rancho Delux movie ranch, warned that “Pulskamp might just as well stay home that night for all the fun he will have. But everyone else will have a great time.”
Don Fleming, former Santa Clarita Man of the Year, says he will be filled with ammunition of the moments Pulskamp never wants to remember. “Pulskamp’s reputation will never be the same,” jibed Fleming.
The evening will include a live auction featuring an Elks BBQ package, a Lake Naciamento vacation and a visit to the set of Entertainment Tonight. Tables are available for $2500, $2000, and $1500. For information or reservations, contact Donna Schmidt at (661) 252-8424 or click here.
