    County Education Office Questions Acton Agua Dulce Financial Plan

    Los Angeles County Office of Education officials released a report recently detailing financial concerns with the Acton Agua-Dulce Unified School District. A LACOE report from the county’s Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team notes the district is in financial distress due to declining enrollments and a loss of students, which AADUSD officials have known for years.

    College Of The Canyons Student Accepted Into NASA Program

    Gaby Mendoza, from Ecuador, started at College of the Canyons campus for the first time three years ago with a lack of direction and no social circle to latch onto.

    Santa Clarita Library Offers Free Events During September

    Santa Clarita Public Library officials will be offering free educational learning events throughout the month of September as all residents are welcome to sign up and join a variety of interactive programs.

    Newhall School District Observed As A "Showcase" District

    The Newhall School District is one of only six districts in the state that has been selected by the California Department of Education Special Education Division as a participant in the Least Restrictive Environment – Supporting Inclusive Practices Promising Districts Grant.

    The district will receive a grant of $236,666 in 2014-2015 for its involvement in this program. As a "showcase" district, NSD will receive visitors during the year to observe its special education programs and NSD staff will make presentations throughout the state about the district's programs.

    Einstein Academy Opens Elementary School At Old Pinecrest Site
