Going it alone: It can a frightening prospect for a parent, raising the kids without the support of a parenting partner who shares the burdens of teaching them, and protecting them, and running the household. The journey of single parenthood can appear daunting, especially if one has been thrust into that role suddenly. Everything from making sure the kids do well in school to just putting food on the table can become a major stress factor.
At Single Mothers Outreach, we make sure single mothers aren’t alone in tackling those challenges. We share the journey with them.
Our valuable programs and services wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of businesses and individuals who contribute to Single Mothers Outreach. Each contribution makes real, impactful differences in the lives of single parents and their children.
That’s why we’re asking you to contribute our 2013 giving campaign, and help us continue supporting single mothers on their journeys. You can find out more about Single Mothers Outreach atwww.SingleMothersOutreach.org, and you can follow us on Twitter,@SMOSantaClarita, as we strive to improve the lives of single parents and their families.
More than 130 passionate volunteers partner with Single Mothers Outreach, and every program and service we offer is geared toward helping single parents – 450 of them each year. The reward, for single parents and all who help them, is when they complete the journey to self-reliance.
You can help them get there.
Sincerely,
DaAnne Smith, Executive Director
