“It’s off of Frasier Mountain Road in Gorman,” said Lt. Tom Bryski of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “We’re up there now. We put it in (the log) at 11:48 a.m.”

The investigation was being handled by the Homicide Bureau, and officials are still on the scene.

There are unconfirmed reports that the body, a male, was dumped at the location where it was found.

“Whenever there’s a death of a human being, it’s handled by our Homicide Bureau,” said Deputy Pope of the Headquarters Bureau. “Our homicide investigators respond to the location and determine whether or not foul play is a factor. They will update us accordingly.”

More information will be posted as it becomes available. There are no other details at this time.
