Sword, Loaded Firearm Found In Stolen Vehicle In Canyon Country, Three In Custody

Three Palmdale suspects were arrested Sunday in Canyon Country on multiple felony charges after a sword and a loaded firearm were found in a stolen vehicle, officials said.

On Sunday around 4:45 p.m., a deputy patrolling on Soledad Canyon Road near Whites Canyon Road ran a license plate that came back stolen, said Deputy Joana Warren with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

“A felony traffic stop took place and there were three individuals,” Warren said.

After deputies cleared the vehicle, they found a loaded firearm, a sword, stolen identification cards and fraud paperwork, according to Sheriff’s officials.

The driver was charged for allegedly being in possession of a stolen vehicle and illegal weapons, and the two other suspects were booked on fraud charges, Warren said.

All three suspects were transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station on felony charges.

  1. I am sure that the deputy’s had nothing better to do than arrest three innocent criminals. Palmdale? What a suprise.

  2. What did they look like, hair, beards, tattoos, etc.!! Where from? Please tell the truth/facts!!

    • Do you always judge people by this criteria…hair, beard, tattoos??!! And judging by this you also probably want to know what color their skin is as well?? Am I right?!!! For your information my son has very long hair and a beard and also many tattoos. He is also a very gifted artist and he has a highly respected career as a Design Director and is sought after by many companies. (He also makes a six-figure salary.) And, he is also one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet and would do anything for anybody (just like his sister). It’s not how someone looks that’s important, it’s how they’re raised by their parents. And I couldn’t be more proud of both my kids because they are GOOD PEOPLE!!
So next time you’re so quick to make judgment calls about the way a person looks, why don’t you go take a long look in the mirror and think about what you done with your life!!

      • Naive/snowflake Jean:: No judgement, just asking for facts/truths! If stable, mature people don’t gather facts, how can LE & neighborhood watch be aware of patterns to protect/help decent society?! If white /black/Hispanic/Asian and overly clean cut Mormon appearance young men are committing the majority of crimes, then that’s a pattern to be aware of, not to discriminate, but to be aware, not an ignorant excuse maker! Stop crime & excuses!!

  3. I hope they get a expert to look at that sword . The scabbard looks real . Dont care about the criminals.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
