John Phillip Chappell, 36, and Deborah Ann Kulick, 44, were arrested and booked on separate charges Tuesday around 9 a.m. at the Sheriff’s Station.
Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station were conducting a parole check on the 24800 block of Greenbrier in Stevenson Ranch, which was an address they had for Kulick, when the arrests were made. Chappell was allegedly living at the address also, which would be a violation of the terms of his parole, because he was registered at an address in Ventura County.
The pair were arraigned Thursday, when they pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Chappell stands accused of methamphetamine possession and failing to properly register as a sex offender.
Kulick was charged with felony possession of ammunition, according to a criminal complaint filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Thursday.
The complaint cites two prior drug offenses on Kulick’s record, making it illegal to be in possession of a firearm or ammunition.
Chappell had two charges listed on the Megan’s Law website: lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age, and oral copulation with a minor under 18 years of age.
