Sheriff’s Deputies Respond To Bomb Scare Near Valencia Kohl’s

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a bomb scare Monday evening at the Kohl’s parking lot, officials said.

Sheriff’s Station officials responded to a report of a stolen car at the 23700 block of Delmonte Drive in Valencia around 5:30 p.m., according to a Sherif’s Station spokesman.

“We’re taking every precaution,” said Deputy Josh Dubin of Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, “and it’s an active investigation.”

Deputies with the Arson-Explosive Unit have also been called to the scene.

Deputies immediately began to search the area for the late model Toyota Camry that was reported stolen.

Deputies located the vehicle, now abandoned, parked in the parking lot area of Whole Foods Market and Kohl’s

Inside the stolen vehicle, deputies saw a suspicious package that contained wires and other suspicious items.

As of 7:45 p.m., the investigation is ongoing.

There has been no arrest made yet in the investigation into the stolen car, or the suspicious package.

No further details are available at this time. No injuries have been reported.
