The City of Santa Clarita invites residents and press to attend the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival, which includes nearly a week of events. The main two-day festival takes place Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Melody Ranch Motion Picture Studio in Newhall.
One of the world’s best cowboy gatherings, the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary this year with a series of events designed to delight audiences of all ages. The festivities capture the sights, sounds, and smells of Cowboy life as performers serenade passersby, vendors serve up Dutch Oven treats, and attendees shop for merchandise that celebrates the past with the flair of today.

The annual Cowboy Festival offers two exclusive opportunities for festival-goers to tour some of Santa Clarita’s most filmed locations, including an SCV Film Tour and a Behind the Scenes Tour of Melody Ranch, with movie buffs E.J. and Kim Stephens.
The deadline to submit a press pass request is Friday, March 22, 2013. Get an online press pass request formare available at CowboyFestival.org/pressmedia-permit. All press planning to take photos at the event must also complete the online Photographic Release Form. Photography from previous Festivals is also available for use at CowboyFestival.org/press.
