Kennedy-Nay, who has been an employee at Rowland Air Inc. in Canyon Country for two years, married her husband less than two weeks before the collision and is the mother of a 6-year-old boy, Rowland Air employees said.
The day after the collision, her co-workers created a fundraising page on a website called Go Fund Me in an effort to help her family with medical expenses.
On Tuesday, the site showed a collection amount of $7,765 by 127 donors. Their listed goal is to raise $100,000.
“I want to thank everyone so far on supporting our beloved Kari,” Lindsay and Larry Rowland said in a statement on the Go Fund Me page. “She is still in ICU but holding on strong. She is a strong woman and we will continue to stand beside her on this time of need and be a support system for her family and friends.”
