The self-defense workshop will consist of three classes that are open to College of the Canyons students and community members who are interested in learning specific self-defense techniques.

Women who attend the workshops will learn self-defense moves in a safe environment.

In addition to physical practice, women will be taught safety tips for home, office, school and the public.

The first of the three workshops in the series will be held in the east physical education building at the Valencia Campus from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Attendees should dress in comfortable workout clothes and walking shoes.

Campus Safety Department officials offer a personal safety and self-defense workshop class every Fall and Spring semester.
