Canyon High School To Host Walk-A-Thon For Autism Awareness

Canyon High School is hosting a Walk-A-Thon fundraiser to benefit Autism Awareness. The Walk-A-Thon is Saturday, April 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Canyon High School. The Yes I Can kids event raises funds for the Tenth Annual Summer Meltdown Autism Awareness Arts & Music Festival that will be held in Santa Clarita in May.

Yes I Can students, alumni and supporters are seeking sponsors to raise money for every lap they walk. The event also provides the Yes I Can kids a chance to socialize outside of their classroom environment.

“Every year students in the Yes I Can program defy autism by showing us just how powerful a tool music and the arts can be to unite people with differences," said singer-songwriter Ebony Rae Cunningham, an organizer of the fundraiser.

The Summer meltdown Autism Awareness, Arts & Music Festival will be held on Saturday, May 4, at the Santa Clarita Skate Park. for more information, visit YesICanMeltdown.com.
