Canyon Country Man Stabbed In Gang-Related Incident

A man was stabbed in Canyon Country in what appears to be a gang-related incident Friday, according to police reports.

Officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station received reports of a man stabbed on Manzanita Lane near Jakes Way shortly after 2:15 p.m.

“The injury is non-life threatening,” said Lt. Rush of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

The victim was stabbed in the side when he approached suspect about being a gang member.

The suspect fled the scene on a bicycle.

Paramedics arrived on scene and the victim was sent to Henry Mayo Hospital.
