No further information on the injuries Talbot sustained during the crash was available as of Saturday afternoon.

Los Angeles County Fire Department officials flew an American flag at half-mast in a memorial procession for Talbot on Saturday.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies were the first to arrive at the scene of the crash and smashed a passenger window in an attempt to remove Talbot from the vehicle.

“I never saw her apply the brakes, and can only assume that she lost consciousness when she first began to drift,” said Marty Siebe, a Lebec resident who witnessed the crash, in an email statement to SCVTV.

A Sheriff's Station official confirmed reports that the victim appeared to suffer from a medical condition shortly before the fatal crash.

Los Angeles County Fire Department officials transported Talbot to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, where she was being treated for critical injuries.

Drugs and alcohol are not suspected as factors in the crash, and an investigation into the cause of the crash is still underway, according to Sheriff’s Station officials.
