The construction site where Castaic High School is being built was vandalized Friday night, Hart District officials confirmed.
A vehicle was reportedly used to knock down several access gates that surround the property, said Gail Pinsker, a Hart District spokeswoman.

“We are disappointed to learn of this vandalism on the site of the future Castaic High School,” she said. “We are looking forward to bringing this state-of-the-art high school to the Castaic and Val Verde community as promised.”
Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials have not yet made any arrests in the incident, said Sgt. Cortland Myers.
Because the site is owned by the Hart District, it is therefore state property, according to Pinsker.
“Vandalism of state property does have serious consequences,” she said.
