The body was reported to the Sheriff’s Station shortly after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night, near some offices across the street from Vicenzo’s Pizza, which is located at Plum Canyon Road and Bouquet Canyon Road.

Local officials referred all inquiries to Homicide Bureau detectives, who handled all dead bodies found under unknown circumstances.

A Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station official confirmed the initial report was believed to be a suicide; however, an official determination has not been made.

A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department official said the department does not conduct interviews or give out information about suicides.

“We don’t give news releases or interviews on suicides, it’s department policy,” said Deputy Pope of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Homicide Detective Labbe was called out to investigate the incident, according to Homicide Bureau officials, but he was not available for comment Wednesday.
