The event will take place in conjunction with Zambelli Fireworks Night, which is expected to feature NASCAR Spec Mods, Super Stocks, INEX Bandoleros and 911 Series races.
Last season’s Fireworks Night included a 100 lap contest won by New Braunfels, TX driver Kevin Thompson.
The half-mile speedway will welcome Super Late Model and Tour Late Model teams from across the West Coast to battle for up to $20,000 in posted awards.
“Teams will have their targets set squarely on Pro Late Model points leader David Mayhew,” Kern County Raceway Park officials said.
“Mayhew, the 2013 CITGO Lubricants Late Model champion, moved up into the Pro Lates this year and has gone three-for-three so far this season.”
Other regulars in the division have included 2013 Pro LM champion Tim Smith, 2013 CITGO LM Rookie of the Year Johnny White, and Dallas Montes.
