A Jewish Journal blogger named Ilana Angel, who’s written several scathing blog posts criticizing the award-winning country and pop artist, had her ticket flagged by college officials at the PAC on the college’s Valencia campus, according to Angel’s blog.
“When I got to the front of the line there were 4 security guards waiting for me,” according to a post she wrote called “My Evening with LeAnn Rimes & the LA County Sherriff (sic).”

“The ticket-taker took my tickets and when she scanned it read as invalid. A woman approached me and asked if I was Ilana Angel. … She said I was banned from entering and needed to leave,” the post continued.
College officials referred questions about the incident to a statement that read:
“Campus Safety Officers were at the Performing Arts Center (Sunday night) before the show to address a potential disturbance. As the safety of our guests and entertainers is a top priority, we took reasonable steps to prevent anything from occurring that may have affected the audience or the performer.”
Angel wrote that she was issued a refund before she left.
Sheriff’s Station officials confirmed a call for service to the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center.
Angel was “cooperative” and left without incident and of her own accord, Sheriff’s Station officials said.
Several of Angel’s blog posts attack Rimes as “desperate” and “laughable.”

In a post written Monday, Angel claims Rimes had Angel banned from the show because the artist knew she had written the critical blog posts and would be in attendance.
Rimes first gained fame at age 13 and has earned a pair of Grammy awards, as well as 12 Billboard music awards. She’s also hosted the Texas Country Showdown several times, which is now the Country Showdown.
“Who bans critics from their shows?” Angel asks on her “Keepin it Real” blog, after writing she was told she was a threat to the performer’s security, and that’s why she was banned.
A call to Rimes’ publicist for a comment was not immediately returned.
