CalArts’ campus is transforming into the place to be from 6:30-10:30 p.m. on Aug. 16, said Ray Tippet, executive director for the Circle of Hope.
“The Circle of Hope is a Santa Clarita Valley nonprofit that makes sure all of the funds it raises helps local residents in our community pay the enormous costs associated with fighting cancer, as well as other support services,” Tippet said. “All of the money stays right here.”
On the Circle of Hope’s Facebook page, the nonprofit’s volunteers gave a sneak peak at a few of the vineyards offering unlimited tastings as part of the $75 presale or $95 at the gate ticket, including: Opolo Vineyards; J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines; Aqua Dulce Winery;Bridlewood Estate Winery; Clayhouse Wines; Dry Creek Vineyard; Eberle Winery; Francoli USA; Golden Star Vineyards & Winery; Hug Cellars; J&J Cellars; Kiamie Wine Cellars; Champagne Lanson; Lucy Wines; Rob Murray Vineyards; Nuggucciet Cellars; Nadeau Family Vintners; Pulchella Winery and Tasting Room; Quady Winery; Reyes Winery; Riverstar Vineyards; Shannon Ridge Winery; Tolo Cellars; Tackitt Family Vineyards; andWilliam Hill Estate Winery.
But the wine is only the beginning, with food and beer also playing an increasing role.
“There will be a lot of new additions sure to delight the beer aficionados,” Tippet added. “For the foodies, you will find Santa Clarita’s restaurants serving samples of their signature specials. And for the foodies with a sweet tooth, make sure you also stop by dessert tables early so you don’t miss out.”
Local crooner Jimmy Carnelli and his band will be providing the entertainment again this year.
The event is also scheduled to feature special guest, DiLee, who is just finishing up her latest album and will be performing, as well.
Nine Santa Clarita Valley restaurants and four bakeries are on a growing list of vendors participating on the food side.
“The $75 (presale) ticket is a small price to pay to help Circle of Hope Inc. continue our work within our community,” Tippet said. “Please tell your friends about this amazing event and the great cause,” he said, “and if you are unable to join us, you can still purchase a virtual ticket from our website at www.circleofhopeinc.org.
