Antelope Valley’s Harley Davidson Hosts Thunder On The Lot

Antelope Valley’s Harley Davidson’s 19th annual Thunder on the Lot, one of the largest car and bike events in the Antelope Valley, will be held on  Saturday, June 8 from 2pm to 11pm and Sunday June 9 from 10 am  to 6 pm at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds.

Thunder on the Lot is a grassroots multi- event showcasing a motorcycle and custom/classic car show, extreme sports event featuring Motocross sensation Metal Mulisha and live music show featuring Great White, Judge Jackson  Motley Crew tribute band True2Crew, Platinum Rock Stars, MLC, Bullfrogg Blues Band and much more. 

Other entertainments and attractions include an early morning poker run, drifting races, import car show, low-rider car show, alternative vehicles show, motorcycle, stunt riders, burn out contest, live music on two stages all day, green energy expo, community stage performances,  chess tournament, bullet bingo, casino games, never-ending $1 raffles, carnival, a full-service cantina, various food booths, over 100 vendors and much more. 

Its accrued proceeds will be donated to children’s charities in the Antelope Valley.

“Our main motivation for this event initially started for child abuse prevention. The first seven years of hosting the Thunder on the Lot, all the funds were raised for that specific cause and our main goal was to change the image of the Antelope Valley community at the time,” said Thunder on the Lot founder Yvette Emard.

“It is now our 19th year of doing this and we’re glad to say that our efforts have shown tangible results in the Antelope Valley community and its entirely image has reformed. Now we extend our event to generate donations for other charities,” according to her statement.

Each year Thunder on the Lot generates around $250,000 for over 25 local children’s charities in the Antelope  Valley such as Antelope Valley Christian School Scholarships, AV College Foundation, AV Guild of Children’s Hospital, Antelope Valley YMCA and much more

There will be additional opportunities to win prizes when entering the opportunity drawing. With a $100 donation, there will be a chance to win any one of the following items: 2013 Harley-Davidson Switchback, $25,000 in-ground Aquaphina pool, Original Art by Chris DeRubeis, Custom Honda by Robertson Honda & paint by Squirty’s, two Custom, Mini-Scoots, one hour Jet Helicopter tour with Mark Norris, AV Fair Gold Circle Concert & Motorsports ticket package, Flightdeck Air Combat Center tickets and the Deck Out Your Cave package.

Thunder on the Lot opens at 2pm on Saturday and 10 am Sunday. General admission on Saturday is $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under.

Sunday admission is entirely free. Seating is first come, first serve for the headline concert. Tickets are available for purchase beginning at 12 pm on June 8th. Parking is five dollars. 

The event will be situated at 2551 W. Avenue H, Lancaster, CA 93536.
