Advanced Audiology Donates To Santa Clarita Breast Cancer Charity

Local breast cancer charity Circle of Hope recently received $2,000 from Advanced Audiology in Valencia, raised during the month of October, known nationally as Breast Cancer Awareness month.Nola Aronson presents check to Ray Tippets of Circle of Hope

Many of the staff members at Advanced Audiology had been touched by breast cancer, including Nola Aronson, who is a breast cancer survivor.

“Nola is the owner and a 13-year breast cancer survivor and she wanted to do this. We plan to do it again next year, and we definitely want to shoot for more.” said Marketing Director, Jennifer Ramos.

The staff was inspired to raise money for breast cancer by their preferred hearing device vendor, Oticon, whose annual “Think Pink” campaign of limited edition pink devices raised money for the National Breast Cancer Coalition, according to the Advanced Audiology press release.

“What we do is to help people hear better, and we took a percentage of the proceeds and donated it,” Ramos said. “So we are helping people with breast cancer by helping people hear better.”

In the midst of their participation to the “Think Pink” campaign, Nola decided she wanted to do more for breast cancer awareness.

Nola decided to raise funds to donate to the Circle of Hope, a local charity in Santa Clarita.

In October, Advanced Audiology decided to donate a portion of all hearing aid sales to benefit Circle of Hope.

“Out of all the charities in Santa Clarita, Circle of Hope is good because they are in Santa Clarita and only help women in Santa Clarita,” Ramos said. “A lot of women get breast cancer and it’s really hard on them.”

Circle of Hope is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women in the community by providing financial, emotional and educational support for breast cancer patients and their families. They believe in making a difference today, for a better future tomorrow, according to their website

Advanced Audiology presented the check to Circle of Hope live on-air at KHTS AM-1220 on Dec. 4.

“We really appreciate KHTS allowing us to go on the air. That was really nice,” Ramos said.
