4-Year-Old Child Was Airlifted To Hospital Due To Near Drowning

The Los Angeles Fire Department Station 132 and Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a near drowning at a community pool in Stevenson Ranch on Saturday.

“The call came in at 12:46 p.m. and emergency personnel arrived on scene at 12:49 p.m.,” said Kyle Sanford, the supervising Fire Dispatcher for the Los Angeles Fire Department.  “The child is a 4-year-old male.  He was breathing on his own when emergency personnel arrived.”

The child’s father is a registered nurse and was at the scene.  

Emergency personnel airlifted the child to the hospital at 1:27 p.m.
