Boys' Night Out

City Councilmember Bob Kellar will open his home for a BBQ dinner, drinks and cigars on Friday, May 30 at 6 p.m.

This is the ninth year that Kellar has hosted the event at his house, and he said he is “only too pleased” to support the Domestic Violence Center and the work they do.

“As a retired police officer, I had many experiences with domestic violence in my life,” he said, “and I’m very sympathetic to those matters.”

Because of sponsorships and donations to help cover the costs of food, this is a low-cost fundraiser for the center, said Executive Director Linda Davies.

“Their donations go straight to the operations of the Domestic Violence Center,” she said.

The event is limited to 100 people, and anyone interested in purchasing tickets should contact the DVC first at 661-259-8175.

Tickets are $100 per person and can be purchased on the DVC website or by check. Click on the “Buy Tickets Here” link and select “Men’s Night Out” in the Additional Information drop-down menu.

Checks should be made payable to “The Domestic Violence Center of Santa Clarita Valley” and can be mailed to P.O. Box 220037 Newhall, CA 91322.
