The Valencia football team shocked the Hart faithful, 24-19, in a Foothill League game on Friday night at College of the Canyons.
The Vikings took a 24-7 lead in the third quarter and held on to hand the Indians their first loss of the season.

Hart came into the game as the No. 1 ranked team in the CIF Southern Section Northern Division.
Valencia laid claim to at least a share of its fifth Foothill League championship in a row.
Valencia can win the Foothill League championship outright by beating Golden Valley on Friday night.
In other Foothill League action, the Canyon football team beat West Ranch, 28-6. The Cowboys scored 28 unanswered points after trailing 6-0 in the second quarter.
Canyon receiver Zach Cuha caught two touchdown passes in the second half. Canyon quarterback Cade Apsay threw three touchdown passes to lead the comeback.
Canyon faces Hart on Friday night in what is shaping up to be the battle for second place in the Foothill League.
Saugus quarterback Chris Hamilton tied a school record for touchdown passes in his team’s 56-6 win over Golden Valley.
Hamilton threw five touchdown passes and Saugus won its first Foothill League game of the season.
Golden Valley dropped to 0-4 against Foothill League opponents.
The Trinity Classical Academy football team beat Faith Baptist, 46-20, in its regular season finale.
Trinity running backs Nick Spinello and Spencer Klehn combined for 120 yards rushing and four touchdowns.
The Santa Clarita Christian football team lost to Saddleback Valley Christian, 20-6, in San Juan Capistrano.
DJ King scored the only touchdown for Santa Clarita Christian in the third quarter.
The College of the Canyons football team beat Moorpark College, 35-17, in a National Division, Northern Conference game.
The Cougars have won seven games in a row since losing their season opener.
COC cornerback Lance Poole tied a school record with four interceptions against Moorpark. He has six interceptions on the season, one shy of the school record set by Ja’Vonte Holmes in 2005.
In the NBA, the Lakers beat the visiting Atlanta Hawks, 105-103, and evened their record to 2-2.
Pau Gasol scored 16 points and had 13 rebounds. He knocked down two free throws with six seconds to play in the game to seal the victory.
