The Master’s College Releases Schedule For Men’s Basketball Team

The Master’s College released the men’s basketball schedule for the newly renovated MacArthur Center.

The Mustangs will open with a scrimmage against Cal Lutheran on Oct. 31. They follow with an exhibition game against the University of Alaska, Anchorage on Nov. 4.

The regular season home opener is against West Coast Baptist on Nov. 7.

The Golden State Athletic Conference home opener is against Arizona Christian on Jan. 18.

In cross country, the second race in the College of the Canyons Series is tonight. Rodrigo Ornelas won the first race in 16 minutes, 8.5 seconds.

Nina Moore was the top-finishing woman in the race in 18 minutes, 6.5 seconds.

The second race in the COC Cross Country Series starts at 7.

In baseball, here is your Dodgers midseason report.

The Dodgers are 47-47 and 2 ½ games out of first place in the National League West standings.

The team is eighth in the National League in hitting with a .261 batting average. They are eighth in the league in on-base percentage at .324.

The pitching staff is sixth in the National League with a 3.62 ERA. Clayton Kershaw leads the league with a 1.98 ERA.

Adrian Gonzalez leads the team in home runs with 14 and RBIs with 59. He also leads the team in runs scored with 37.

Yasiel Puig leads the Dodgers in hitting with a .391 batting average in 38 games. Hanley Ramirez is second in hitting with a .386 batting average in 39 games.

The Dodgers return to the field in Washington, D.C., against the Nationals on Friday night. Ricky Nolasco is scheduled to start for the Dodgers against Stephen Strasburg for the Nationals.
