Hart Boys Basketball Team Wins Holiday Classic

The Hart boys basketball team won its own Holiday Classic, downing Righetti, 78-57, in the championship game.

Lewis Stallworth scored 26 points to lead Hart. Myles Franklin scored 19 and the Hart boys won their 10th game in a row.

Santa Clarita High School Sports

Hart is 11-1 overall and went 4-0 in the Hart Holiday Classic.

The Valencia boys basketball team lost to Oaks Christian, 80-66, in the third-place game of the Chaminade tournament.

In high school soccer, the Valencia girls won the Hart Showcase championship over host Hart, 1-0, in the final game.

Sammy Simon scored the lone goal of the game in the second half. Goalkeeper Nicole Joseph recorded her fourth shutout of the tournament.

The Hart boys soccer team lost to Crescenta Valley, 1-0 in double overtime, in the championship game of the Hart Showcase.

Crescenta Valley, playing a man down, scored the game-winning goal in the 95th minute. The Hart boys lost the Showcase championship for the first time in three years.

The West Ranch girls reached the championship game of the Los Tacos Holiday Festival in Glendale and lost to Alemany, 2-0.

West Ranch dropped to 8-3-3.

Master’s College Sports

In college basketball, The Master’s College men beat Mount Marty College, 67-46, in the Embassy Suites Classic hosted by Arizona Christian University.

Reid Shackelford scored 15 points and made five 3-pointers for the Mustangs.

The Master’s College women won both of their games in the Jersey Mike’s Classic over the weekend.

The Lady Mustangs beat Dakota Wesleyan from South Dakota, 72-64, and Westminster from Utah, 92-84, in double overtime. Westminster is ranked No. 4 in the NAIA.

The Master’s College women, ranked No. 12 in the NAIA, improved to 10-3.

Los Angeles Sports Report

In the NBA, the Clippers lost to the Phoenix Suns, 107-88, and have dropped three of their past four games.

Next up for the Clippers are the Charlotte Bobcats on New Year’s Day.

In the NHL, the Kings lost to the Chicago Blackhawks, 1-0. It was the third loss in a row for the Kings.

The Kings are off to Dallas for a game against the Stars tonight. Listen to the game on AM 1220, KHTS. The puck drops at 5.
