Steiner, a four-time Emmy winner, just completed his ninth season as play-by-play announcer for the Dodgers, calling all the games heard on KHTS AM 1220.

Before joining the Yankees, the New York native spent 14 years at ESPN, where, among many assignments, he anchored SportsCenter and did play-by-play for Major League Baseball on ESPN Radio.
Steiner began his professional broadcasting career in 1969 at WIRL Radio in Peoria, Ill. and graduated from Bradley University in 1971. In 2010, Steiner delivered the commencement address at his alma mater and received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree.
