Providence Holy Cross

Sponsored by Providence Holy Cross Health Center

During the week of June 9, 2008, at the KHTS Community Resource Station, we featured our sponsor, Providence Holy Cross to the KHTS Non-Profit Spotlight.

The KHTS Non-Profit Spotlight, hosted by Janice Murray , airs Mondays and Fridays at 10AM on AM-1220 KHTS.

Our guests, Dr. Armen Hagopjanian, D.P.M., Dr. Nancy Ellerbroek, MD, Tricia Eugenio, RN  and Dr. Sherry Mendelson shared some valuable information with listeners

Dr. Hagopjanian is with the Los Angeles Institute of Foot and Ankle Surgery and specializes in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery, including pediatrics, sports medicine and injuries, arthroscopic surgery, diabetic foot care and limb salvage.

Dr. Ellerbroek and Tricia Eugenio talked about Oncology services available at Providence Holy Cross Cancer Center – located in Santa Clarita. Image Guided Therapy, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy and other breakthrough technologies allow Providence to offer cancer survival rates among the best in the nation.

Dr. Mendelson spoke about the “Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative.” Providence Holy Cross has been designated as “Baby Friendly” by Baby-Friendly USA. The Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative recognizes hospitals that provide an optimal level of care and information for breastfeeding mothers.

All three Doctors are on staff with Providence and provide services at Providence Holy Cross in Mission Hills and at Providence Holy Cross Health Center in Santa Clarita.

The Santa Clarita Valley community has received quality health care from Providence Holy Cross longer than any other hospital serving the region. Providence Holy Cross became the first medical center to serve the Santa Clarita Valley community when Holy Cross opened 44 years ago in 1961 and they are committed to providing the community with its present and future health care needs as well.

Currently, 16 percent of Providence Holy Cross’ inpatients are of the Santa Clarita Valley. In the near future, it is projected that 1 out of every 5 Providence Holy Cross patients will be Santa Clarita residents.

The Providence Holy Cross Health Center in Valencia offers quality services and care right here in the Santa Clarita Valley.
