    On Sunday, February 5 2006, Route 66 hosted their annual Super Bowl Party. At the party, they also held their annual hot dog eating contest- and the local school winner once again was Canyon High School!

    On Wednesday, December 21 2005, the Power Automotive Group in Valencia presented their first Winter Wonderland at the Valencia Ice Station. A free event, the Ice Station was decked out for the holidays with games including broomball, bumper cars and ice skating on the three ice rinks, snow outside to play in, visits with Santa, and free cocoa and cookies! KHTS would like to thank the Power Automotive Group for putting on a great event!

    On December 1, 2005 KHTS, partnered with the Santa Clarita Sheriff's Station and Power Honda, hosted their Annual Toy Drive. The toys collected go right back into our community for children in the Santa Clarita Valley.

    The City of Santa Clarita, Blue Barrel Disposal (a Waste Management company) and AM-1220 KHTS have teamed up for a fun and exciting way to teach local elementary students about recycling. The program, "Recycling Rhymes", asked local students to come up with rhymes pertaining to any aspect of recycling.

    Love Ride - November 12 & 13, 2005

    On November 12 and 13, Santa Clarita hosted the Love Ride. In its 22nd year, the Love Ride is a motorcycle ride from Glendale to Castaic Lake, raising money for local charities. Over 15,000 riders participated in the weekend events. Saturday the 12th saw the Harley Davidson Stunt Show, where Craig Jones, Monte Perlin and the Victor McLaglen Motor Corps performed daring bike tricks for thousands of onlookers. On Sunday, the Love Ride proper winded its way north on the 5, culiminating in great food, great music and a fantastic event at Castaic Lake.
