The entire Santa Clarita community turned out to celebrate our nation's independence on Monday at the annual Santa Clarita Fourth of July parade. The them for this year's trip down Main Street and Lyons Avenue was Women's Right To Vote - observing the 100th anniversary of that right in California and the 91st anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution.
Canyon Country resident Tony Marincola represents the 17th Airborne Division at the annual SCV Memorial Day observance at Eternal Valley Memorial Park. Marincola, 94, survived the Battle of the Bulge and also served in the 101st and 82nd Airborne Brigades before coming home in 1945.
