Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in men and women in the country. It occurs most often in people who are older than 50. When it is caught in its early stages, it is easily treated and often cured. But because it is usually not discovered early, it is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States.
It is well known that early detection is key in preventing this cancer that claims approximately 50,000 lives each year in the U.S.
All week long, Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, the Senior Center and the KHTS Community Resource Station distributed free Colorectal Screening Kits.
KHTS would like the following guests for spending time with us:
Dr. Thomas Joseph, Dr. Vijay Trisal, David Sell, Physician Relations Coordinator, Gary Jacobs, Marketing Specialist, Linda Seck, Lab Technician and cancer survivors Dr. Lawrence Leiter and Tom Shultz.
