The City of Santa Clarita is participating in a survey, conducted by the Los Angeles County Commission on Aging, to determine the unmet need of seniors living throughout the County of Los Angeles, ages 60 and above.
The purpose of the survey is to identify needs of seniors living throughout the County of Los Angeles that have not been serviced. Information gathered from respondents will be used to plan future programs and services for seniors by L.A. County and City Area Agencies on Aging.Seniors are encouraged to inform City and County Area Agencies about their unmet needs for services such as in-home care and home-delivered meals by completing the survey, which is anonymous and will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. The deadline to return the surveys is January 31, 2007.
“The City would like to obtain first-hand information on issues affecting the surge of Baby Boomers and older adults. It is important to plan to meet the needs of this growing population,” commented Mayor Marsha McLean.
