In the continuing efforts to maintain and improve life safety services to the citizens of the City Santa Clarita, the Los Angeles County Fire Department opened a temporary fire station on Saturday, January 15, 2005. Fire Station 104 is located at 26201 Golden Valley Road in the City of Santa Clarita.
The station will be staffed with a captain, firefighter specialist and two firefighters relocated from Fire Station 107 located on Soledad Canyon. The station will house a quint, a truck/engine that carries a hose, pump, water tank, aerial ladder and ground ladders for fire department staff.
Funded by developer fees, and constructed by the City of Santa Clarita, the total project cost to construct the station is $447,960. The City’s contractor, the Dumarc Corporation, began construction on August 2, 2004.
“We are pleased as an organization that our partnership with the City of Santa Clarita has allowed us to continue to provide these vital services to our community”, said Assistant Fire Chief Matt Gil.
