The Gazette Radio Hour - Friday, April 25, 2014
It was a wild and raucous experience once again on the Santa Clarita Gazette Radio Hour. Hosts Doug Sutton and John Rogers dove deep into their inner peace, and furnished a unique blend of hardcore talking points juxtapozed with realistic attitudes about Santa Clarita issues. What issues exactly? Well, that is really the point of the Santa Clarita Valley Gazette Radio Hour - to expose and shine light on the many wonderful and even dangerous facts concerning life in all its many different aspects. However, unlike most episodes of the Gazette Radio Hour, this time, Doug’s wife had requested he use a calm and serene demeanor, rather than his universally famous angry, and seemingly demonic attitude to bring in their latest addition. For better or worse, Doug Sutton kept his promise to his wife, however, much to John Roger’s shugrin, without Doug’s ridiculously violent epitaphs and tyraids, the Gazette Radio Hour just simply fell short. If someone came up to John Rogers and asked him if he would ever miss Doug’s rants, John would have called them, “crazier than a chicken on the moon”. But as fate would prove, it is Doug Sutton’s angry, passionate rants that (along with John Roger’s naturally optimistic attitude) really shape and define the characteristically adventurous show. Once the Gazette Radio Hour crew got past their uncharacteristically zen first segment, the boys brought on a sleuth of great guests, including the newly elected Santa Clarita City Councilman Dante Acosta. Dante Acosta spent the next two segments talking about life as a father, life as a Santa Clarita resident and most importantly, what his life has been like since serving as City Councilman.
