Doctor Polucki Family Health Hour - March 3, 2014
Today’s show Dr. Polucki wanted to talk about sleep. Mainly the fact that individuals are not getting enough sleep. According to Dr. Polucki one third of Americans are sleep deprived getting less than seven hours of sleep a night.
Circe Denyer also stopped by the program to talk about her new book that she published making it easier for people to keep track of your passwords that you use. It is called “Keys To the Door: A Password Record For Safe Keeping.”
Circe Denyer’s recent work was written to compliment her computer workshops where she teaches plain English not-too-geek computer subjects. Teaching the methods of Malware prevention is one of her specialties. She is a Qualified Speaker for District 52 Toastmasters and earned Toastmasters highest award of Distinguished Toastmaster in 17 months. She writes technical instruction books, poetry and short stories.
Linnaea Mallette also joined the program. When Mallette was four years old, a high fever seared away a large portion of her hearing. As a person with a profound hearing loss, Linnaea reads lips to help her “hear.” She is the recipient of the Oticon Focus on People Award given to twelve individuals nationwide who defy stereotypes about being hearing impaired.
Linnaea created the “Read My Lips Tips System for Success” born out of her life experience. It encompasses the mind set and actions she embraced that enabled her to triumph over many challenges, including her physical disability
