Valencia dentists Dr. Allen Smudde and Dr. Kelly Smudde are opening their dental practice to treat patients for free on Friday, Jan. 24 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Smudde Dentistry  on Tourney Road is partnering with Dentistry from the Heart , an international nonprofit that offers free dental services to people in need throughout the United States, Canada, Ireland, Australia and Puerto Rico.
Dentistry from the Heart focuses on underprivileged and uninsured patients and has helped more than 45,000 people in the United States during the last 10 years, contributing more than $8 million in free dental work.
During Friday’s event, five dentists, six dental hygienists and 30 volunteers will be on hand to treat patients 18 years or older. Patients are allowed one procedure on a first-come, first-serve basis, either a cleaning, extraction or one filing.
Cristi Polhert, marketing director with Smudde Dentistry said that they expect to be able to treat between 50 and 60 patients and are offering the event to “anyone in our community in need.”
