On Wednesday, Herbert Moreno, 20, of Canyon Country, was cited, released and given a court date within 60 days of the crime for damage he’s accused of causing in near Sandy Drive and Fahren Court in Canyon Country.
“Deputies responded to the location after receiving calls that a drunk driver crashed into several parked cars,” said Deputy Josh Dubin of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Moreno was accused of driving under the influence, driving without a license and a hit-and-run collision without injury.
Following an investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies, Moreno later was found, allegedly too intoxicated for a field sobriety test.
He was cited at the hospital and then to be released on his own recognizance after he was treated, according to Sheriff’s Station reports.
He was not placed under arrest due to his need for treatment, but his vehicle was impounded with a 30-day hold.
