This week’s games:
Valencia versus Saugus:
The KHTS Game of the Week can be heard live on KHTS AM 1220, kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. Both Valencia and Saugus enter league play with a 3-2 record.
Valencia, coming off of a tough loss to a very good Loyola football team, is looking to bounce back in week one of league.
Saugus lost a close game last week, 10-8, against Camarillo and will try to get things going on offense.
Canyon versus Golden Valley:
Golden Valley is confident going into Friday’s game. The Grizzles are 2-3 on the season, but last week, they dominated against Chatsworth winning 47-6. Canyon has posted a 4-1 record in the first five weeks and look to be a contender for the Foothill League title.
Hart versus West Ranch:
Hart’s offense has averaged close to 50 points a game and with a close call last week against Santa Monica, the Indians will be ready to open league play.
The West Ranch defense has played fantastic, only giving up an average of 7 points in their first five games, so we’ll see if they can slow down the high-powered Indian offense.
Be sure to tune in Friday at 7:30 p.m. for the Valencia vs. Saugus on KHTS AM 1220.
