Residents should RSVP by Monday, October 14, by calling Corrina Knudson at 661-255-4939 or firstname.lastname@example.org .
The Golden Valley Bike Trail project will extend the trail by about four miles from River Village in Saugus to State Route 14.
The extension will give bikers access to the south side of Soledad Canyon Road at Golden Triangle and Ruether Avenue, the Sports Complex and the business center in Golden Valley.
To increase the view, landscaping is being added, including a tan fence along the trail and large oak trees within the area.
“The City has already made progress toward integrating biking and walking in everyday living with an extensive network of more than 70 miles of paved, off-street bike paths,” said Mayor Bob Kellar. “We continue to work with developers, like Spirit Properties, to expand paths and develop new routes that allow increased opportunities for residents and visitors to walk, bike, and run throughout the community.”
Having a community of active residents and integrating these trails are important to the city and the residents enjoy having various traveling options.
The Golden Valley Bike Trail Extension project is another effort by the city to provide non-motorized alternatives to the community.
It is the city's hope that the new extension supports a fun, enjoyable and picturesque way for the community to live an active and healthy lifestyle.
The Golden Valley Bike trail extension will allow residents to have even more access to trails.
Trails in the community give access to parks, entertainments, shopping and businesses.
