After struggling with anorexia, she was told to leave “Growing Pains” until her health recovered.
Once she was on the road to better health in 1994, she started speaking publicly about her fight with anorexia and continues to spread the knowledge of her experience and help others who struggle with anorexia to overcome their battle as well.
Not only did she share her story, but she has also hosted the show “Starving Secrets” on Lifetime to help other young woman suffering with negative body images and anorexia.
She is fully recovered.
In October of 1994, she married Roby Marshall, whom she had met through her co-star on “Growing Pains.” Marshall works at KHTS radio.
Tracey Gold is a mother of four sons and has taken more time to be herself lately. She played so many different characters since the age of four, she is now taking the time to be a mother.
She still has some on-screen roles in TV movies and hosting reality programs.
She has been a resident of Santa Clarita for 11 years where she has raised her four sons.
Gold is a big supporter of Santa Clarita with her boys attending the local schools. She claims to know the Santa Clarita Valley very well being familiar with many places.
She originally lived in the San Fernando Valley and decided to come to Santa Clarita because it is “a great place to raise kids, we loved the school system, and we fell in love with the [Santa Clarita] Valley,” claimed Gold.
Currently, Gold has been filling in for Karena Thek on her weekly show here at the station. She and Janice Murray host the Alive and Well show with special guests changing weekly. They speak of being healthy and new possibilities for feeling young.
One special guest was Rosemary Murphy from Beyond Harmony, a local Santa Clarita Spa.
Tracey Gold herself has been to Beyond Harmony herself. She claims to love it and that, “It was really a great experience.”
Beside hosting the radio shows, she is enjoying her summer and is busy with her four sons. Her plans for the future include more projects.
