“Caregiving is an emotionally charged, often difficult experience,” Sauer said. “This course is designed to best equip caregivers for the challenges they may face.”
Curriculum topics include:
- Realistically identifying what is “normal” versus “not normal” aging
- Best methods of fall prevention and home safety
- Immediate, practical solutions for identifying and overcoming negative thought patterns
- Proven strategies for engaging in difficult conversations and why it’s important
The Caregiver Bootcamp will meet for ten consecutive Thursdays at the Senior Center on Market Street, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in rooms A-1 and A-2.
There is no cost, but space is limited and reservations are required. To RSVP for the course or for more information, contact Sauer at 661-259-9444 ext. 128 or firstname.lastname@example.org .
