Horses & Gibbons & Boars, Oh My! Tour [1]

Location:  William S. Hart Park, Newhall, CA

The Santa Clarita Valley is home to more than just a quarter-million people. It is also where several animals reside in various animal rescues and preserves that dot the area. Come with us as we explore some of these compounds during our Horses & Gibbons & Boars, Oh My! Tour. Our first stop will be at the Gibbon Compound in Saugus, which is one of the largest preserves in the world with the mission to protect these endangered singing Southeast Asian apes. 

Next we proceed to Gentle Barn, a farm animal rescue that is supported by Ellen DeGeneres among others, where abused animals that would otherwise be slaughtered are nursed back to health with lots of TLC!  Then we'll stop for lunch at the Halfway House Cafe on Sierra Highway.
