Lender Foreclosing On Santa Clarita Athletic Club [1]

A foreclosure sale is scheduled for Jan. 8 in Pomona to auction off the Santa Clarita Athletic Club property at 24640 Wiley Canyon Road in Newhall.

According to trustee Chicago Title Co., the business is in default on a 2004 loan secured by a deed of trust to the real property, buildings and accounts, exclusive of mineral rights which  were reserved in 1964.

The outstanding debt due to the lender, Grand Pacific Financing Corp., is estimated at $5.77 million.

The gym is still in operation.
